oh, I like, and I tend to want to hit Rayek with a brick! Maybe it's the lack of the usual attitude-aura that surrounds him here... he's s omcuh more serene and Zen...
He's very much like Susano in a lot of ways, isn't he? At least from my understanding of him... _________________

@Makkin: Gee, thanks... you really flatter me your compliments and positive support mean so much to me
@Redshine and Kojiyumi:
Rayek gone Samurai was quite an interesting experience to draw, because it's like Kojiyumi said... I had to change his usual atmosphere and yet leave enough of "Rayek" in him and not turn him 100% into somebody else... which was not easy.
In the end I managed to give him a melancholic facial expression, which made the Samurai damashi atmosphere arround him a little bit stronger... I'm glad, you apprechiate my attempt so much, because I really wasn't sure if I had done it "right" |

Wow, I'm actually really surprised at how well that suits him. Beautiful!

Thank you Jade Owl...
Yes, I also was sceptical if it suits him, but my experiment went well...
Yokatta
wonder, what he'd say about that though |

I love it, love it, love it! *hugs martoo and the dragon*
Dragons always used to be one of my favorite fantasy animals. The guy reminds a bit of the cover you drew for Pan and Jainoh. _________________

Arigatou...
yes, that is true, Pan said that too... the scetch of that guy with the dragon was in my folder for a long time... I recall I had that idea after I watched an exhibition of Yoshitaka Amano's paintings... then I did the Cover of "Drachenfluch" and later on, when I moved to Japan I found that sketch in my old folder and said... "OMG he looks like Selim's" brother !!! At the same time a friend asked me to do a guy with a dragon and so I decided to ink it...
So maybe that sketch wanted desperately to be finished?! |

Ah, I see! I'd love to see it colored, but with the detailed ink and all, I think it looks terrific already. _________________

THX !!!
I actually wanted to do a coloured version of this, but my friend wanted to publish it in a fanzine later and therefore asked me to keep it B&W... hmm, maybe I'll colour it someday... |

What a beautiful dragon! They're such elegant creatures. And this one has an interesting expression to boot, somewhere between mischievous and malicious . _________________ A stranger has come

@Makkin:Thank you sooo much... with your incredible talent, I bet drawing dragons is not hard at all
@Satiretto:Also big thanks to you
I don't even know the intent or background of that dragon and the guy. But maybe someday both will tell me... |
