Martoo, that's gorgeous. Japanese pines are so very different from American ones. _________________

Thank you all
You really gave me a fantastic morning today with your comments
About the Pines, I think they are cut in a different way, so they don't grow straigt, like the Europan and American ones. _________________

So lovely, Martoo! The rambling branches of the Pine, the nice clean look of the moonlight...I love it! _________________ "You seem to have done me the honor of thinking me a very complete rascal."-Roger Mifflin |

Could not resist to uploade a preview of that painting of "Bunchh's place", how I imagine it to be... It might be totally different, though, but it is so much fun to paint it
Hope Bunchh forgives me
Will try to finish it soon... but oils take their time to dry _________________

Oh, thank you friend
I will also add some airbrush-effects to make the sky a little more shiny.
Can't wait to continue now _________________

Wow!
... Wow!
Sorry.
It's great! Those colors, that background, the house itself... and Bunchh!
Edit: I just noticed - were you sketching something else in the bottom left corner? _________________

Thank you so much
I'm glad you like it ,too...
As for the left corner, I plan a statue of a giant Koi (carp) spitting water. I'm just not sure if I can get it right. _________________

Thank you, Treefox
I'm so happy that the kids are older now and I can use oils again, without fear that they might eat or chew on them.
I'm also happy that I have some time now to paint a big painting again. It is a nice distraction from "Shadowpath"... _________________

I must admit I never thought about that. It's good that you can use oil colors safely again.
I'm looking forward to the finished painting. _________________

Yes, because the kids were small I could not paint with oils for almost 6 years. Also in our apartement in Germany we did not have enough room to put my colors somewhere.
Here I have my cozy corner with my art-stuff and I really enjoy it
Hopefully I can finish that painting soon... right now I'm busy with my own naughty characters again _________________

and on that note of painting safety, just make sure you don't use cadmiums, cobalts, or titanium, and if you're using a thinner, don't use turpentine, use gamasol.
oh, and always paint with nitrile gloves!! never latex!!!
sorry....I just took a bunch of art safety classes. _________________
