Eh eh ... hello... I was thinking of doing this for a while, but it took me a while to actually start this thread. Here goes.
Well, I'm an artist and I like to sketch everyday. I don't ALWAYS finish my stuff, but I try. I mean, as you'll see below, my work is not always finished, but it's usually because I tend to go from one sketch to the next between distractions, you know?
Sometimes I just forget to draw some parts, sometimes I don't on purpose.
I sketch superheroes and fantasy characters a lot. I also sketch some of my favorite manga characters. I like to sketch people in general. I love playing around with facial expressions, postures, "What If" situations (for example I'd draw Suntop on a dragon) and things like that.
I also will take requests if somebody wants me to draw something. I like to sketch at least twice every day.
So, let me know if you want me to draw you anything.
In the meanwhile, I need to start off with a picture don't I? Here's one I just finished today while I was bored (and fighting nasty allergies)!
It's Kahvi with a glimpse of our favorite insane Wolfrider in the background. It's the first time I ever drew Kahvi, though I've drawn Two-Spear countless times in the past. Be gentle, this is actually the first Elfquest drawing I have attempted in almost a year. Woo-hoo...
I know I messed up a little on Kahvi's hand, I always have trouble with EQ hands. Also, I didn't have a reference for the spear so did that from memory and I know it looks kinda sucky. And I forgot to draw Kahvi's arm to boot
But here ya go anyway... comments are welcome, of course!
Wow, I talk a lot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, the thread's getting long enough that I'll include an index to my sketchbook here for any newcomer, as well as a "request list" - lol. That should save everybody the trouble of going through all the pages one by one. I'll update it as often as I can!
EDIT:I no longer do requests. I apologize to anybody who might have requested something and didn't get what they wanted. Perhaps someday when I have more time on hand!
Note: I also have these pics at my gallery at EQFanArt.com under "Gold Knight's Sketchbook" - some pics are in much better quality than on here. Check it out if you're bored.

Yeah. You blabbermouth.
I really like your stuff, Knight. Your drawing style reminds me of that of someone I know. (I used to have quite the crush on him... ) _________________

Duty noted, Leanan.
Aldar... one of my former girlfriends nicknamed me "Yenta." That's yiddish for "blabbermouth."
Thanks for the compliments! If you want to see some comic book pages that I've done, go here, and scroll down to the bottom of 'Magik Stories' and click on 'Holy War the Comic' by Phil G (that is me, of course.) This site is hosted by my fanfic writer friend in London who wrote the script for me. There's only seven pages drawn so far, hopefully I will finish it in due course.
Thanks, MultiMedea, but I can do better. Practice, practice, practice... _________________ *Peeks in* |

That's just a sketch?
Good mood, good positioning, good balancing of the two characters. I like the juxtaposition-- it brings out the relationship between Kahvi and Two-Spear very well.
(Warning, I'm not an artist, never pretended to be-- I have taken some courses in art history and so on, and my mother was an artist-- but don't take anything I say as expert in any fashion, ok?) But I like it! _________________ Those who know the exact price of things often miss the true value of things. - Kathleen Norris (paraphrased)

Thank you
Two-Spear is... well, I just love to draw him, not as much as I love to draw Cutter and Mantricker, but ... I guess I have a thing for Wolfrider chiefs with facefur
Anyway, I've always loved to draw Two-Spear in juxtapositional pictures, for example here is a drawing of Two-Spear and Willowgreen I did in the year, hm, 1993? Or 1994. Either way, I was 13 years old, I think. Wow, seems like a lifetime ago.
Old Old Two-Spear and Willowgreen drawing by Gold Knight when he was just a lil squire!
I think I've improved a lot since then (note that I didn't plan ahead enough on some things, like the back of Willowgreen's hair, I had already drawn Two-Spear there, so, whoops) but, yeah. I love drawing Two-Spear. _________________ *Peeks in* |

Heh, just did this one on a piece of computer paper in under 2 minutes... see, when I get to drawing Two-Spear, I can't stop drawing him, darnit!
Luckily I wrote a reminder to myself to do a Glider for Leanan, as you all can see _________________ *Peeks in* |
