I am starting to get quite a bit of art scattered all over this forum, so I figured I might as well join you guys and consolidate it in my own fan art thread. Yes, this really is fan art - all of us who've worked with Wendy are certainly fans! Besides, even if I had my own website for my professional art, all this fun EQ stuff really wouldn't fit in with all those dry science illustrations, would it? Wink

Note: You won't find any spoilers here! The only things I'm posting here are my EQ musings on paper; nothing that might be published will appear. heh, heh.... yeah, that's what I thought about some of the drawings that ended up appearing in IABB! Hope you all enjoy it!

Before I post any new stuff, I'll start with my earliest EQ art, Skywise art from the now-defunct GAZERS website. All this is already on the Scroll somewhere. I discovered EQ around '99 or '00, and this art is from that time.

Skywise Portrait - ink washes on bristol

Brothers Still - pencils on vellum *not a spoiler!*

Family - pencils on vellum

A Study in Blue and White - gouache on bristol

And because this image in somewhat *PG-13*, I'm only posting the link:

OMG, weren't you the artist who draws Full Circle?
I love your work! I really like the one in blue and white, although Skywise isn't my favourite elf.
Bet you could do Newstar that wonderful too! Wink

I love your work!

Thanks! And yes, I was the finished penciler for "Full Circle," which means I drew the finished drawings over Wendy's roughs. But this stuff here is all me. Very Happy

I love ALL the characters. Truly. I can't think of one that doesn't have something to add to Wendy's multi-textured tapestry. I really do identify with Skywise's scientific mindset, though, since I tend to be a scientist among artists. When I began to look for EQ online, the first group I met were the fans at the GAZERS, and this first bunch of art was done for their site. I also find Skywise the easiest elf to draw - and his expressions are so fun!

Don't worry, I will get around to posting all the art I've put up on the forums, then I'll post any new stuff I want to share. This next group of images are from my sketchbook from around the same time as those above. Some of these ended up appearing in the back of IABB.

Head study: Cutter (proportions)

Skywise and Wolf Timmain at Play

You Can't Go Home Again - pencil on vellum
A speculation about the future: Skywise and Suntop return to Abode after centuries in the Palace, during which they have become nearly High Ones. They find that you can't go home again.

Yeah!

I think I've found a new camping spot! I can't wait to see what new works you've drawn.
