"The Grey" is to be released on the 27th. Any advance word on how wolves are portrayed in this movie?
I was pleased with "Alpha and Omega." I mentioned I was turned off by a Christmas special a few years ago, called "The Flight Before Christmas." In the latter, wolves were portrayed as evil because they hunted reindeer. They are finally persuaded to become vegetarians.
"Season of the Witch" includes a scene involving hostile wolves, but I think they are under the influence of evil magic.
I still like "Never Cry Wolf" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086005/ - I enjoyed Farley Mowat's book and was happy that Disney didn't wreck it...
We saw "The Grey" today. Slow-paced but not boring. I was confused by the wolf/human interaction, though.
"Frozen" is the most recent movie I've seen, that offers a negative portrayal of wolves. As in other movies, they just show up as a threat, for the good guys to escape.
