Ahnshen, a Sun Villager, watches the Wolfriders, Moonshade in particular. He could show her many things. Moonshade notices him. The other Wolfriders know she only looks to Strongbow.
New Blood # 4 "Moonshade Part 2"
Ahnshen makes clothing for the Sun Villagers. Moonshade comes and he shows her moth fabric. She tries it on but the Wolfriders call. He'll make her a garment. She shows him how to tan hides. He doesn't understand the hunt and the howl. Outside, Strongbow is with Dart. He knows what Ahnshen wants. The Wolfriders hunt at night and Ahnshen watches. He's shocked when Moonshade kills a boar. He goes to her the next day. He's confused. Strongbow chases him out, saying to stop playing games. Dart shows the dress he brought her. Leetah talks to Ahnshen. He only sees Moonshade as he wants her to be. Sun-Toucher says he has to understand that the Wolfriders have their own customs. He finds Moonshade hunting at night and says she's not like that. She'll prove it. She puts on the dress, but it isn't like he imagined. She says he can't make a shell to contain a dream. She walks out.
