It's a quiet summer day. Skywise, Cutter, Nightfall, Scouter, and Dewshine are playing when the sun goes dark. Joyleaf calls them all over to explain. Long ago, before the coming of the High Ones, the world was very different. Humans were just starting to change. The day star, Lifegiver, was above, all alone. At the end of the day he'd sleep in sorrow. He didn't know that every night the moon, Silverseed, took his place. She was lonely too. One day Lifegiver lingered and saw Silverseed. He ran. At night they hurried to reach each other. One day they saw each other and experienced Recognition. They joined in the sky, creating darkness below. They said farewell for awhile. Silverseed gave birth to Dawnbringer. Sometimes Silverseed becomes hidden, in memory of her loneliness. Today they renew their love. She tells Skywise the stories are all over when you learn to listen.
