Ember and Choplicker chase their prey to the edge of the cliff. She watches as the Palace comes up and Leetah, Suntop, and Venka come out. Rayek's magic works. They go to the holt. Savah was calling for Suntop to come home. Reluctantly Cutter agrees. The wounded there are too much for Mender. Cutter won't let Ember go. Losing them was too much. He stretched the way to include other elves. It's up to her to preserve it. Skywise talks to him, asking him to come, but he doesn't dare face Rayek. As the Palace is about to leave, Ember rides in. The Palace disappears. The Wolfriders laugh. The wounded are unwrapped and healed in the Sun Village. Mender says his brother and parents walked the path to its natural end. They counted time with beads. He says she's lucky to be Cutter's daughter and she runs off. He finds her in the caverns. Due to the immense time, her glitter-forest is gone. She was gone from Cutter so long, which is why she's so precious to him. They see a glitter forest, their's to share. Savah says goodbye. Mender is going, to learn about being a Wolfrider. Shen-Shen is staying. Scouter and Dewshine are going.
