Siege at Blue Mountain # 1
Rayek intends to make the palace fly. Picknose, now the troll king, has taken over Guttlekraw's mountain. He captures Two-Edge but instead of killing him, he sends him to find Ekuar. Soon Kahvi finds him and brings him into the palace. He believes Rayek is his mother Winnowill and he wants his mind back. In the Forbidden Grove, the Wolfriders want news from the Sun Village. However, Savah and Suntop can't "go out" without Winnowill finding out. They decide they must defeat her once and for all. To begin doing this they must convince the humans of the Hoan G'tay Sho to stop worshipping her. Cutter leaves before dark. Soon, Aroree arrives, sent by Winnowill to search for preservers in exchange for permission to leave Blue Mountain. She discovers the Wolfriders and Windkin. She grabs the cub and flies off.

Siege at Blue Mountain # 2
Aroree flies off with Windkin. Dewshine grabs ahold of the bird as they fly towards Blue Mountain, with Skywise close behind. Aroree goes inside with Windkin with Dewshine following. She discovers that all gliders other than the Eight are entranced and Tyldak is in chains. Aroree brings Windkin to Winnowill. Dewshine sends to Windkin and he goes to her. She tries to escape but Winnowill stops her. Elsewhere, Cutter enters Nonna and Adar's hut. He wants them to go to Blue Mountain and convince the humans to stop worshipping Winnowill. In the mountain, Dewshine is permitted to care for Windkin. Winnowill discovers that the Wolfriders reside in the Forbidden Grove. Aroree wounds Kureel as she escapes. Cutter, Nonna, and Adar travel to Blue Mountain by raft. Skywise catches up with Cutter.

Siege at Blue Mountain # 3
Skywise tells Cutter everything and comes up with a plan to trade preservers for Dewshine and Windkin. At the Holt, Ember convinces Suntop to "go out". In the Sun Village, Dart is training them to fight. Savah answers Suntop and they discover that Winnowill's wants Suntop, Timmain, or any other magic-user under her control. They also believe they can stop her if her mind is completely healed. Skywise arrives and tells the Wolfriders of his plan. In the north, Rayek plans to go to Blue Mountain but waits for the birth of Kahvi's child (He's possibly the father). Skywise, Scouter, and Strongbow bring preservers to Blue Mountain and let them loose. Dewshine is brought out but not Windkin. Dewshine won't leave the cub behind, so she goes back. Skywise, Scouter, and Strongbow are attacked by one of the Eight but they're rescued by Aroree. She drops off Scouter and Strongbow. Winnowill comes out of the mountain and tells the humans that the Wolfriders are evil and need to be killed.

Siege at Blue Mountain # 4
Kahvi has her baby but tells Rayek it died and wasn't his. She lied. Not only is it alive, but he is the father. Rayek sees she has no sorrow and angrily leaves. He travels to Blue Mountain with Two-Edge. Aroree and Skywise fly over the Holt. He sends to Treestump, telling him the bad news. Nonna and Adar talk to the other humans while Cutter waits. They tell them the Wolfriders are not evil but most don't believe them. In Blue Mountain Dewshine hides from the Eight. Winnowill purges Windkin of his wolf blood. Strongbow returns to the Holt while Scouter and Clearbrook meet Cutter. With spears given by the gliders, the humans attack them. Cutter, Scouter, Clearbrook, Nonna, and Adar all flee into the mountain. Skywise convinces Aroree to go to the palace while he stays behind. Rayek and Two-Edge spot Aroree's bird overhead. Two-Edge bolts.

Siege at Blue Mountain # 5
Aroree's bird pins Two-Edge to the ground. Rayek tells her he's going to Blue Mountain. Aroree says Winnowill wants magic-users for some purpose connected to the Great Egg. Rayek says his goals are the same, but she's going about it wrong. He believes they can be what they were always meant to be. Two-Edge runs away thinking Rayek betrayed him. Rayek tells her he'll help free the gliders. They fly towards Blue Mountain. Skywise heads back to the Holt. Cutter, Clearbrook, Scouter, Nonna, and Adar enter the mountain. Dewshine and the preservers find them. They manage to get Chosen Eight into wrapstuff and hide them. The mountain begins to rumble while the gliders and the Great Egg begin to glow. On their way to the mountain, Rayek tells Aroree that only the gliders can bring the palace to life. Rayek is dropped off at the Holt. Leetah, Suntop, and Strongbow send him images of what they're up against. He thinks they should strike more directly. Skywise arrives and explains what's happening. Treestump, Leetah, Rayek, Suntop and Strongbow head to the mountain.

Siege at Blue Mountain # 6
The Jack-wolfriders leave Sorrow's End and discover bones at the cliff face. They believe it's Rayek. Hoan G'tay Sho warriors head towards the Wolfriders' Holt and meet two of Gotara's worshippers. They join to attack the elves. Skywise, Rayek, Moonshade, Strongbow, Treestump, Leetah, Suntop, and Petalwing all come to the mountain. Rayek flies ahead and enters. He sends to Winnowill and Cutter's group hears. Cutter, Scouter, and Dewshine go down to Winnowill's den to set the human slaves free and look for Windkin. Clearbrook looks for Winnowill. Rayek finds Winnowill but he's seduced by her and her magic. Cutter, Scouter, and Dewshine free the humans. Scouter and Dewshine try to find a way out for the humans. The Holt is attacked but the humans are defeated. Jackwolfriders led by Dart arrive. Dart befriends a human boy Geoki.

Siege at Blue Mountain # 7
Clearbrook finds Winnowill and Rayek in the Egg chamber. Winnowill plans to use the Egg like the Palace. Skywise, Leetah, and the others look for a way into Winnowill's den and they find Two-Edge. Leetah begins to heal him but he runs off before it is complete. Winnowill continues to entice Rayek. She tells him he can become as a High One. Rayek says they can all do it, can become whole. He begins using magic on the Gliders and the Egg. The floor and walls of the mountain begin to sway and vibrate. Skywise and the others try to get Door to open. Leetah and Suntop get through but Skywise is caught in the wall. Strongbow, Treestump, and Moonshade go back. They find their son Dart and the Jackwolfriders waiting outside. Dart sets the Holt's attackers free. As a result of Rayek's magic, the mountain forms into a gigantic version of the Egg. Winnowill wants to fly to the Palace and absorb it and the spirits within. All pure-blooded magic-users will be called to it. They will escape the World of Two Moons after erasing all traces of the Firstcomers' blunder, the Wolfriders.

Siege at Blue Mountain # 8
Under the combined sendings of Cutter, Leetah, and Suntop, Winnowill passes out. Two-Edge grabs Windkin and gives him to Tyldak. Tyldak brings the cub to Scouter and Dewshine. Tyldak helps get everyone to the ground as the Egg begins to fall apart. Winnowill is wrapped up by Petalwing. Rayek says the Gliders are causing the Egg to collapse. Cutter grabs Door and forces him to free Skywise, and the three of them get out. The Egg falls to the ground and shatters. The Gliders are killed in the collapse. Clearbrook just barely gets out. She says Two-Edge saved her but he decided to remain inside. Kureel survived and attacks the elves and humans. Dart and the human boy Geoki are picked up by Kureel's bird and dropped on the rocks below. Leetah heals them. The spirits of the Gliders are within Rayek. Clearbrook and Treestump decide to go with him to the Palace. The Hoan G'tay Sho take Door with them. The Wolfriders and Jackwolfriders go back to the Holt. Tyldak leaves Winnowill stranded on an island.
