Windkin (EQ2 # 18)
Windkin flies through a storm to a cliff face. He sees a human woman die, mumbling something about an earth demon. In the morning five human adults and a child approach. They're here to trade, but the troll is through with them. The children keep dying on him. A chained up sea elf comes out of the water bringing him fish. He goes to eat it and falls asleep. Windkin comes to her. She swam too far, got caught in a storm, and the troll kept her. Soon more humans return. The plan to kill the troll, take his trinkets, and sell them. The troll runs out and they take their boats and run. Windkin frees her. They both leave 'together,' him in the air and her in the water. |
