One woman, whos been kidnapped,raped and tortured by corrupt police officers,isn't going to change a freaking nation that places women beneath cows when it comes to what they're worth.
Because, you know, they're things to them. Not actual beings.
That, and from what I read, the woman is, according to local custom, supposed to kill herself to restore their family's honour.
Yeah yeah yeah, I know the family in this case actually show signs of being decent people and are actually helping the woman.

On a much lighter note: About the LIKE button
Well, we have a LIKE button now - makes things MUCH easier, right? It's so easy to express your opinion now. You just have to click LIKE to agree with, clap to or confirm what the poster said/showed. Can I please have a DISLIKE button for the LIKE button?
No, I don't ask for a DISLIKE button besides the LIKE button - I just want to have one to dislike the LIKE button!
It is used so randomly by so many people (and I explicitly don't talk about the few times it was used here so far). It's something I learned from my rare sneak peeks on FB. In example:
Richad Pini is posting: "One more day tried to make this update work. EQ.com is still down. I give up for tonight"

You know what I find absolutely amusing, yet %&$#'ing annoying all at the same time?
The fact that you think I'm stupid.... that I'm sooooo stupid not to know when you're going out of your way for me, claiming you're doing things for MY benefit, when I damn well know you're only doing for me to get something YOU want out of me... And THEN! you turn right around and claim that that particular "want" was ALSO for MY benefit....
Oh PA-LEEZE! -.- That just makes me sick!
But it also seriously opens my eyes even more about you.... That I was right all along for so many years, and I know I will be for whatever years to come.

Every damn day I DO for these boys... EVERY DAY! Before or after work....
I clean for them,
I do their laundry,
I make sure to get to the store every week ((sometimes 2 or 3 times a week)) to be sure those boys have food to eat,
I'M THE ONE taking care of this vaccination crap our 17 year old has to get before school,
I'M the one making all the phone calls back and forth with the school and getting his immunization records e-mailed to my damn phone while trying to get to work...
I'M the one taking him to the clinic
AND taking him to the agency in regards to his fututre college education,
as WELL AS talking with the University to get things started for next year.....
Now on top of ALL OF THIS, I'm cramming in MY work schedule,
going back and forth with the $#@%ing roofer,
getting ALLLLLLLL this extra stuff done for my sister for her wedding in LESS than two weeks, AND dealing with the Union Representative who's been TRYING to meet with YOU for a MONTH, but you keep DODGING this guy because you don't want to bother to find out if you get additional benefits that JUST MIGHT benefit this family!
Every blooming day after you come home from work, you get the damn luxury of sitting your ASS in front of the TV downstairs in the wreckroom and away from everyone... while I'M entertaining their friends, cleaning their messes, or keeping them fed. HALF the time, I'm even still able to squeeze cooking in dinner for you at least 3 times a week... and if I can't, I STILL make sure you ate, or I'll stop and get you a pizza on my way home.
So the ONE %$#&ing THING our youngest asks YOU to DO just ONCE a week ((On one of your days OFF for that matter)) is take him to the mall to play cards with some friends!! That's IT!! That's ALL that is ever asked of you... And this week he asks you and you have an ATTITUDE about it??? REALLY!?!? The ONE thing he does where he can socialize with other kids, and you're all like "Just take a break from it this week". HE ONLY GOES ONCE A WEEK, YOU ASS!! Ohhhh but a 15 minute drive is just TOO much out of your flipping day!

On top of taking our oldest BACK to the clinic in the morning, the grocery shopping I HAVE to do since I'll be out of town this weekend, and THEN having to meet the girls by 2:00 to head out of town, I'll find a damn way to squeeze a 15 minute trip to the mall so our youngest can do something SAFE AND FUN.
You're really screwing up.... and you have no idea it's not only just with me anymore. Those boys aren't 4 and 5 years old.... they're grown now.... and you have no clue what they think of you.... but I sure as hell do. The thing is.... I know YOU so well at this point that I can already predict it's my fault somehow, as well as everyone else's beside yourself. That's why there's no point in saying anything anymore.

All I ever wanted was some bloody peace and quiet. Not too much, I thought. Still, even now, third or fourth year in a row, I still get the worst possible hand dealt to me. I lose one neighbour (granted, racist as hell but at least they were quiet) and get *another* noisy neighbour to keep me company. So, now I'm beset from the side as well as from below. Thank gods none live above me. That awful brat of theirs just keeps banging on the wall, day in, day out. Must be negative age. I keep waking up several times a night, once again. This lack of sleep once again contributes to my already surly demanor and shortens my fuse considerably. I considered going up to their door and complain, but what the hell could that accomplish? They obviously have no control over their kid.
Got up at seven, grumpy as always, and went to make my morning batch of caffeine to make it thru the day. And of course, this sets off my neighbour below me. Granted, it was seven in the morning, but in my groggy state of need-more-sleep I find myself unable to give a damn about trying to maintain some sort of cease-fire with this git who himself has maken my life miserable on multiple occasions.

I think I'm cursed.
I moved -in great part- because of a family in the old building: noisy, dirty, etc.. Well, they just moved into my new building. Same brats screaming 24/7 to the point where I -a person who loves children- almost understand why some people go on a shooting rampage; same Shabbat "celebration" by their Dad revving his motorcycle engine and going for "rides" around the block with the engine screaming until way past midnight; same family time out on the balcony, with the whole family screaming at each other, ignoring the piercing shrieks of their crying toddler, and smoking up the whole building with their greasy barbecuing and black tobacco cigarettes. I really really want them DEAD of failing that, moved across the border into the Sinai, where they won't disrupt anyone's life.
