The first is "How can I keep from singing", I`ve always picture Timmain singing this song.

The other is "Ebudæ" - which makes me think of dancing elves for some reason. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnlnobPoRI0&feature=rela ted
OMG!!! I thought that was just me!! I have her album "paint the sky with stars' and i think the whole thing is amazing. let's see, i know there is some song that i thought was perfect...hmmm. let me see.. i think it was either 'the memory of trees' or 'boadicea'. i think boadicia would be good when one-eye dies. :( and 'ebudae' is perfect for the go-backs.

I'd like to suggest:
The Gathering (the singer has a beautiful voice, she started her own band: Agua de Annique)
The Gathering has metal influances, but also very dreamy music..like this song:
<url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU7U3SeJzpM&feature =related>The Gathering ~ The Big Sleep</url>
A more powerful song of this band:
<url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxWnBUMuFLc>The Gathering ~ Third Chance</url>
This song reminds me of Skywise..
<url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzbA8dOzO5g&feature =related>The Gathering ~ Kevin's Telescope</url>
I'll stop right now, there are so many LOVELY songs of The Gathering:
Amity
Fragile
The May Song
Eleanor
In Motion #1 and #2
Travel
Shrink
Strange Machines
If you feel for it: listen to those songs :D (on youtube)
And here a song with Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation) and Anneke (The Gathering, Ague de Annique) together, on a gig of Ague de Annique ( I was there)
<url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxCaWeEAsIk&feature =related>Sharon & Anneke ~ Somewhere</url>
It's a beautiful duet.

Hey, do you like Ayreon? Anneke von Gieserbergen has an amazing voice, with a very original vibrato and sound.
As a composer, I e-mailed the one doing those little previs videos to send me a music-less version so I can try some ideas over it, but I haven't gotten a reply.

Not very likely to appear since it is a soundtrack, but when I listened to this song "Go the distance", I started thinking of Cutter and the quest:

I put it here to show that there are many possible styles of music.

I thought I would bring this over from the "EQ elf in Star Trek" thread where the discussion is about Bjork. I've never really listened to her but I think her music would be cool for the movie, too.
<quote:647734ff0b="Nowth">Björk sounds completely different anyway. For example <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8TYzospOso>like this</url> and <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dl1AMIrro08>like this</url></quote:647734ff0b>

Saying there are obstacles will get you nowhere; do what you can at the time.
Decided to come out of my lurking shell and contribute.
I would love to see a song or two (hell I'll admit it, the whole soundtrack. . .) from E.S. Posthumus (if you're a Cold Case fan they did the theme song for that). Their style lends itself well to movies of any sort and they can do almost anything.
Here are some examples:
here

here
and one last one
But that's just me. . .

I woke up with this song in my mind and thought "Damn, that would be a good EQ song." I think it's too old to actually be used, but if I was making the movie I think it would be on my short list. Although I think it fits with KoTBW better than the original quest.
The Flame by Cheap Trick

Some of the lyrics:
Another night slowly closes in,
And I feel so lonely.
Touching heat freezing on my skin,
I pretend you still hold me.
I'm going crazy, I'm losing sleep.
I'm in too far, I'm in way too deep over you.
I cant believe you're gone.
You were the first, you'll be the last.
Wherever you go, I'll be with you.
Whatever you want, I'll give it to you.
Whenever you need someone to lay your heart and head upon.
Remember: after the fire, after all the rain,
I will be the flame.

One of my favorites, Chrisopher Franke, could probably do admirably. He's an ex-member of Tangerine Dream (who I adore), and is single-handedly responsible for wringing countless tears out of me throughout Babylon 5.
Yeah Franke was the good part of Tangerine Dream and without him, they kind of lost any interesting sounds. :/ His soundtrack work is exceptional.
Visit the Otherforest, get made into an elf! Ask me how!
There is a Album I always listen to when I'm reading ElfQuest.
It's a bit out there to a lot of people. "Tales From Tropographic Oceans" By YES.
The two songs that to me stand out are.
The Revealing Science of God/Dance of the Dawn
Ritual/Nous Sommes du soleil.

I think folk singer Bill Staines could do all the songs for this movie.

Time for the Trolls to take over!
