Remake of the Wolfrider CD Movie-style!

I just got an idea! (Or am just adding my view to the idea; whatever)

How about, in commemoration to Elfquest, Elfpop and Elfmom, and the people who made their music for 'A Wolfrider's Reflections', there is a remake of all the songs, but sung by the cast of the movie!

I know, I know, it's a bit of a wild idea, but wouldn't it be interesting to have the Wolfrider's themselves sing their songs, and bring them to life? Of course the cast hasn't been decided yet, and maybe some of them can't even sing; but there's always the choice of finding a substitute singer who sounds exactly the same, like they did in the cartoon 'Anastasia'! I think it would be an amazing experience to have the Wolfriders, Go Backs, Gliders and Sunfolk sing their own songs. I can almost hear Strongbow sing 'The Confrontation'.

As for the songs like 'Bearclaw' or 'Nightcrawler', they can be sung perhaps by Cutter or one of the other Wolfriders as a storytelling, like that time at Sorrow's End.

So watta ya think guys? Yes or no? Keep it polite please!

I like the songs the way they are ... and the artists did well to make it feel different. Though ...

When I listened to Wolfrider's Reflections the first times missed that there were not different interperts for each character.

I'd like your idea of a redo in genearal - but but maybe with new songs a bit more.

That's definitely a good idea as well; I'm just thinking about how cool it would be to have the Wolfriders sing their own songs, but of course new ones would always be welcome. Maybe Strongbow could sing about 'The Way', Cutter about recognition and Timmain sing her own song about the High Ones! That would be really cool!

I'd love that..the CD'd have to be much longre though -I wouldn't mind maybe like 30+ songs (ok maybe that's an exageration) but I'd love to maybe a Redlance & Nightfall song, or a Cutter & Leetah song, a few couple songs... amoung other things.

For a start, you could try your hands at crafting lyrics for these new songs, and post them here.

I'm absolutely flattered that you'd ask me or any of the Elfquest fans to make our own songs, Elfpop; the problem with me is that I suck at writing songs
I can write poems, but they are fundamentally different from lyrics.

Well, to anyone who bothers to read down to this post: Why don't you try. Elfpop has given us the all-clear, so why not try your hands at some interesting songs for the Wolfriders and other elfkind? I'm not gonna do lyrics, but I might post some poems once in a while. Have fun!

what would the sons be about, and would we have to specify what character sung them or the backin music etc?

Well definitely specify the characters; unless we wanna turn it into a guessing game As for the songs, they can be about anything inside the Land of Two Moons, so long as it works with the characters. Example: Strongbow can sing about 'The Way', his love for Moonshade, or even about the loss of his daughter. You have to make sure it's congruent with the character's feelings inside the story, and not simply speculate according to how you want the song to work out. Naturally you can also write duets, triets or anything-ets
