Which part of the quest are you adapting?

Yes me too, it is just hard when you see something and it just doesn't have the fire that it is supposed too, kinda like reading interview with a vampire and then watching it.

The characters were wonderful but they spent so much time trying to shorten it up that they cut out all the little details that were the spice of the story.

You never know - you could wind up with something even better than the original. I for one thought the Watchmen movie was *better* than the graphic novel (I won't explain how on the chance someone out there hasn't read the graphic novel and/or seen the movie).

Apparently they'e adapting the part in which everyone is killed off by idiots in suits.

Yeah, but this was supposed to be fantasy, not a documentary...

I blame Thurber. He shouldn't have written the script to include little people living in burrows, a wizard, a party of dwarves, a quest for gold, a magic ring, a cave-dwelling troglodyte, tall Elves living in fancy homes, giant spiders, fire-breathing dragons, and a human village built on a river. Clearly it competed with another project.
