The Equest-L Mailing List

What ever became of it? I tried to subscribe to it yesterday and my message bounced.
Gosh I think that died years and years ago!

Yeah, near as I can tell it must have given up the ghost sometime after the Forum was first created... that was during one of my non-active interims. I went inactive from Equest-L sometime after 1995 and before or around 2001 and when I came back in 2003 I went straight to the first Scrolls Forum.

So yeah... Welcome to the community!

Grizz
So, my guess is the mailing list has been supplanted by new, improved social media, like Myspace, Facebook, and this forum.
That was a great and generous idea to share this! Smile I hope they liked it as much as you did.

Equest-L listserv died out after the first Scroll of Colors message board was launched on elfquest.com, which was sometime back in the early 2000s (maybe even the late '90s). It was long gone by the time social media sites such as Friendster and later Myspace gained popularity.

There is an archive of the listserv as well as other pre-social media and Scoll forums right here though (although the links don't seem to be working).

Drat. All I get on the Equest-l mailing list archive link is a: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/elfquestftp/public_html/phpcode/generic.php3 on line 133

Even Wayback Machine doesn't seem to have anything. I know times change and new, more efficient media come and go, but what can I say, I'm an old grumbler. There was loads of info and goodies in the mailing list... It's impossible to subscribe to the mailing list too, I got a "This address no longer accepts mail message.

Sorry you lost this source, Livie Unhappy

I was much too late to use or even know about this mailing list, but I'm someone how loves to conserve old knowledge and fun.
