Wolf/GoBack

Go Backs suppress Recognition. And then I noticed something...

The only Wolfriders/Sun Villagers who've ever crossbred with Go Backs are the ones that never Recognized.

Does that mean the Wolfriders/Sun Villagers in question somehow surpressed their own ability to Recognize, and were thus able to crossbreed with Go Backs?

(Skywise, Rayek, possibly Pike, whoever that Plain Elf was who fathered Teir...)

Is this intentional, or coincidence?

left-handed elves

Or, more specifically, I want to know where the left-handed elves are.

From what I've seen, they ALL wear their swords on their left hips, for drawing with the right hand, their knives on their right hip, for drawing with their right hand, and they all hold their bows in their left hands, for aiming with their right eyes.

The only exception I've found is that, for a while, Krim looks like she's wearing a knife on her left hip. But, it later turns into a sword on her left hip, so maybe it was supposed to be a sword, anyway, or maybe the artist that did that just didn't notice and it was an error. Can you think of any other possibly left-handed elves I've missed? I love ElfQuest, but I can't help but see this as extremely weird, and restricting, that they all (or nearly all) must use their right hands for all skilled tasks.

Re: Elfquest Treasure Quest

I hope I have the right spot for this question. New to the whole Elfquest world. The list of this, that I found, is missing any listings for where Parts 1,5,7,8,12,16,17 and 23 are. Can someone please tell me what comic books they're in? Thanks!

In the 70s....

Hi Elfparents,

Spoiler space done.

This is a question about the earliest days of Elfquest. In EQ #4, when Leetah was eavesdropping on the Wolfriders as they howled, there were accompanying pictures of each of the Chiefs.

What did readers think of Timmorn at the time? He had long hair and looked very lupine--but this was shown before the wolf blood was fully revealed. Did anyone guess that they were blood related to their wolves?

-Wrapstuff

What do these soulnames mean, and two other questions

Hi Elfmom and Elfpop.

I don't know if questions in here are answered often, but I have a question about the meaning of a few soulnames.

What does Two-Spear's soulname Marr mean? And what does Vrenn, Graywolf's soulname mean?

In the Future Quest will Pike's soulname be revealed? Does Kahvi have a soulname, being born to the tribe while they were still Wolfriders? (That's probably been asked a few hundred times.)

Thank you for creating a fictional universe that continues to intrigue!

Shards/Suntop

Hi there,

Sorry if someone asked this question before and I didn't see the answer. I just finished reading Hidden Years and Shards and I was confused when Suntop and Dart came into the story. It seemed as if I was missing their storyline, is there another series I missed? Which series should I read after Shards?

Thanks,

Annie

A Cry for Help! ( Reading order question)

Ok ok, I know this is another what should I read question but I really need to know. I've read the full original quest, Siege at Blue Mtn, and Kings of the Broken wheel. When I finally finished Broken Wheel I was dumbfounded by what I should read next. I have looked and googled and found other posts on what to read and I even looked at the timeline on this site, but most of the answers are "read part # of this book then jump to this comic and read this #." If anyone would be kind enough to tell me what to read so that I can get a logical story that continues as close to where Kings of the Broken wheel ended without jumping between different stories/issues. I would just jump into EQ2 but the description says it continues with some other stuff that was added inbetween Original quest, Siege, and Broken wheel. Plz and thx.

Cutter Figurine!

I don't know if this has been posted before or not, but, Elfmom, did you know that the figurine of Cutter produced by Dark Horse Delux has 4 fingers?!?

I bought one a couple of days ago at our local comic shop, and upon further inspection of the statue itself, I, and my lifemate, discovered that Cutter has 4 fingers, but the picture on the front is the image we all know and love.

Also, evidently they are more fragile than they appear, because the owner of our local comic shop said about half of his shipment was damaged beyond saleability in shipping.

Thought you might want to know about it, since I'm sure that's not what you had planned for them.

Shade and sweetwater,
Nexy

Which wolf to which Wolfrider

I remember when I first was reading Elfquest, one of the issues had the wolves on the back cover. The either the next issue or one further down the line gave the wolf names and to which elf they bonded (e.g. Cutter - Nightrunner, Sky Wise - Starjumper). Where can that be found? Also could you please give out the pairings here?

--An old goat whose forgotten which elf was with which wolf.
