Two events you may possibly be interested in attending in the North East soon
(neither has anything Elfquest related as far as I know at present, but they are "comics" events):
http://www.albanycomicbookshow.com/ and http://www.nrm.org/programs-and-events/events/ show the comics related items at the Norman Rockwell museum which promote the idea that "comics" are serious art!

Elfquest Cosplay Group at Dragon*Con 2013

I know there have been Elfquest costumes at Dragon*Con in the past, but I'd really love to get an organized cosplay group together for 2013! We have a full year to get everything arranged, so that's plenty of time to put together a costume! I'll be paying to hire a photographer, so we can even get nice professional photos of the costumes as well!

I've put together a Facebook group where interested people can join up. Joining the group is not an obligation to participate - I know D*C 2013 is a long time away and plans may change before then. The FB group is just a way to keep everyone updated, as well as a place where cosplayers can share information and ideas.

http://www.facebook.com/groups/155214604616046/

Also another quick note - costume duplicates are okay. I know some costume photoshoots limit the number of costumes, but we will not be restricting this to "one person per character". If we have 5 Leetahs and 4 Cutters, that's great! The more, the merrier!

ElfQuest the Gathering: A US Convention

Hello! I'm spreading the word about an upcoming convention scheduled to take place in the United States of America. This convention is ELFQUEST the GATHERING and it will be the first convention dedicated to ElfQuest held in the United States. We're currently looking for an ideal place to host this event and we're also looking for attendees, dealers, artists, writers, volunteers and just anyone who wants to get involved.

Currently, we're looking to hold the convention on the Northeast coast, but it can be quite literally anywhere in the US. If you know of a great hotel, convention center or other facility that can house a group of convention goers, please share. Or, if you have experience hosting a convention and want to help, please let us know.

I'll be sharing more information as it comes along, but in the meantime, feel free to chat, ask questions, suggest ideas or just get a dialogue going. We're happy to talk about all things EQ!

Is anyone attending Dragon*Con this year, and still looking for a room? A friend of mine has to cancel his plans for attending and has a room at the Hilton Atlanta, one of the host hotels. He'd love to find someone who'd be willing to assume the reservation for him. Please let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the details privately.

Thanks!

San Diego Con 2011

It's still three months away but we've learned that it's never too early to announce an appearance at a convention. We (Wendy and Richard Pini) will be at Comic-Con in San Diego, this July 21-24. Click here for information on the expo itself.

We'll be there the entire show. We have a table in Artist's Alley so you will be able to find us, to have books and comics autographed, to ask questions, to drop off paper bags of used, unmarked $50 bills... Currently we are not scheduled for any panel discussions, though that may change. Wendy does anticipate doing sketches of Elfquest or Masque characters for purchase.

Be sure to keep checking here and the Elfquest Facebook page for news and announcements as the time gets closer!

San Diego Comic Con 2010?

This is my first con ever and I can not tell you how excited I am. I'm just wondering if The fine elves of Elfquest will be represented there by Richard and Wendy like they have in the past. I haven't heard anything yet and can't find any listing on the official SDCC website. I'm sure the con will the awesome - but it would make my trip perfect to meet the creators of my favorite comic of all time (and any other fan who might also be there). Thanks for any help.
