It wasn't that their lifemates that got me curious about these two. I'm thinking more of how the go-backs had essentially bred the function out of themselves, and Pike being the product of an induced Recognition. Yes, I know that didn't stop it from happening to Tyleet.
hmmm, you're right... ah, we'll just have to wait and see! 
Funny you should speculate on that. I have wondered about that myself, with the story setting her up to cause trouble and all. I can see how a Krim-Pike recognition could fit well into the story and be very meaningful.
