Dear Elf Friends,
Now that my Masque of the Red Death web comic is complete, I'm continuing on with new projects...and returning to the World of Two Moons, which I haven't visited extensively in almost four years.
As Warp waits a few more weeks to hear some really concrete news from Warner Bros. about the Elfquest movie, I'm enjoying sketching the elves again...seeing who they are now as they emerge from my fingers.
Thought I would share some of those color sketches with you, here, in this new thread. Perhaps they will inspire some of you to "answer" with sketches of your own, which you are free to post here as well. Lets all have some fun with some new views of the elves and their activities.
First will be a soft and gentle rendering of Cutter. I think he has been watching some prey on the other side of a pond and he is just now slowly rising, deciding if he will hunt or walk away.

As are a lot of you. It's only natural. The Masque characters are intensely dark, brooding, "Wuthering Heights" types. It will take a little while to recapture the open, natural innocence of the elves' expressions. That's why doing these sketches is such a good exercise.
