Has your artwork been used without your permission?

Though, PERSONALLY, I hate the very idea of 'copyright', I DO agree that art property HAS to be protected, in the sense NO ONE should be legally allowed to make PROFIT (financial or of any other kind) from someone else's art without the authors' permission.

Now, this site here is DEDICATED to Elfquest and is SUPPOSED to have at least an active ADMINISTRATOR, a person also supposed to ANSWER, on a regular basis, to Wendy and Richard PINI or anyone else they left in charge of it all, about nearly everything going on on this site.

Consequently, EVEN if I NEVER asked Wendy and Richard permission for creating and maintaining for years (since 2004!) a whole page (that was even made a sticky one in the 'All the Many Colors' forum) presenting avatars from pictures mainly taken from Elfquest, SINCE NO ONE WITH AUTHORITY HAS EVER FORBIDDEN THIS, since this sharing has served the interest of many Elfquest fans in here, since many other fans have done the same, since I, for one, have never hidden this activity, even going to great lengths to INSURE the reservation process for all interested EQ fans, I will go on assuming it is authorized UNTIL RICHARD OR WENDY OR ANYONE OFFICIALLY IN CHARGE FORBIDS IT.

Even if this officially unauthorized sharing process has profitted for years to the community here, even with the support this initiative has received for years, I've always stood ready, at the slightest raise of a stink, to suppress ALL the avatars I offered here by deleting everything EQ related on my Photobucket private galleries. I warned everyone that I WILL press that big red button AT ONCE if Richard or Wendy or an administrator ever ASKS so.

Shade and sweet water!
