Treeshaper's Rage

So since my scanner won;t work with my laptop..... I'm stuck just taking a photo of what I've been busting ass on for endless days and nights.... only to have the majority of the detail stripped out by my lousy cell phone -.-

Anyhoo.... aside from my flaming RAGE over that mishap....

This is how depict our beloved treeshaper defending the one he loves. I think most underestimate his fierce Wolfrider side because we hardly ever see it. All was done by hand with pencil and ink. Aside from the crappy picture, I hope you get the gist of what I was trying to portray

No wonder our gentle tree-shaper ended in awful shock..




..and the Redlance I know and love should indeed NEVER have to face such horrors again.

That's wonderful, Kindred! I can almost feel his rage from here, and I really like your use of colour.

And this drawing is simply magnificent...takes my breath away. You can 'feel' the emotion in this depiction, the sudden explosive need to protect turning into his gentle persona into a warrior's stance...its like I've always seen him...

I love how dynamic Redlance is gathering the power of the plants around him. I also think Nightfall is particularly well-done. It's sad to see her hanging there, but still...lovely.

I hope you will post an improved scan of it if you can get better equipment.

OMG ... Kindred, this is breathtaking! And creepy!

The treeshaper and the tree have become one. The colors, how you arranged hair and tunic, the pose and even the snarl ... everything is mirrored by the thornes and branches. Redlance himself is pure awesomeness ... I never liked him in this outfit so much as right here.
Nightfall looks so vulnerable and delicate ... I CAN see Redlance react like this.

Great details (i. e. dagger, hair) despite the blurry photo and fantastic ideas - this clawed tree mouth has a frightening beauty. I hope we will see a clear scan one day.

Will there follow more, Kin? *lays out muse bait*

My son's best friend who lives across the street has offered to scan it for me in the next few days when he gets his scanner back and running. So I'll have the better quality pic up soon ^_^

Thanks for the compliments everyone. PC, not sure if placing Redlance in such a situation again was disheartening for you. My apologies if I did so, my friend.

My next project is for Cometduster. She requested I try and portray the likeness of her character. Today, I *finally* managed to find a stance her character seems satisfied with ^_^ It may take longer than this did though since I'm just now "learning" about her and her persona.

I do have a question though. I can't seem to place any of my work into an album. I've tried clicking everything and I'm getting nowhere -.-

I think you have to do it when you upload the image. It should give you the option of putting the image in an album, or creating a new album.

Unfortunately, I think there's no way to move pictures around from album to album, other than deleting and re-uploading them.

EDIT: Explored around a little. I guess you can move them. Click on the picture, and on the upper left will be a drop down menu - Options or Actions - select "edit". It will give you an edit page, and underneath the image to the right it will give you the option to move the image, and a drop-down menu of your albums.

*growls at the confusing buttons*

That is Amazing!!!! The movement, the emotion the color, and especially the detail! I love it all. I bet he would do that if she died!

I took this scene from one that I wrote long ago when I used to do the Elventies series. Granted, Nightfall never fell unconscious in the story, but I always had such a possibility in the back of my mind
